What a fantastic year we have had at HEALTH ACADEMICS.  I have seen some wonderful students pass their Exams and i wish them all the best either embarking on a new Career or new direction in life.And to the students who are adding another therapy to the ones they already have.  I know that studying therapies is addictive, you never stop learning, at that comes form a therapist who has been 30 years in the business!  Yes, i have some plans for this year. Firstly i embarked on the final year of my PGCE teaching degree  in September.

 

 

 

With my love of India and All things Ayurvedic. I will be not only studying some of the massage techniques but we are planning a new venture of taking students to Southern India to train in the techniques. We have visited a wonderful centre on our trips to India and have decided to organise small group trips for training twice a year. I am at present studying Ear Acupuncture, I have completed my Level 1 and will complete 2 and 3 at the end of the year.

 


 

NEW BEAUTY COURSES

 

We have now introduced VTCT beauty units. Holistic Facial, Waxing, Manicure and Pedicure, eye treatments.  these run over two days each with assessment day 2 to 3 weeks later.

 

All our Beauty Courses use Organic products when ever possible keeping with the colleges principals. There is an emphasis on  the holistic approach on all of these courses.

 

All work really well with complementary Therapies and add another skill to your portfolio you can offer.

 

 

 

New Online Shop

 

Our online, one stop shop will be opening in the next two months. With many students interested  in using the quality products that the centre endorses we are now in negotiations with product companies.  We will be offering different packs, towels, couches, oils, music etc. Also will be included  will be a website and literature design service. Accountancy service for therapists. We are also looking at discount for insurance with some of the larger brokers.

Facials- work well with Body Massage and Indian head Massage-

Manicure and Pedicures- work well with Reflexology and Body Massage

Waxing  and eye treatments are good stand alone therapies. Waxing being a low out lay  but profitable treatment.
