VTCT Holistic facial and Massage

This Facial and Massage course has a holistic approach to looking after your Face. You will learn about Cleaners,toners,masks, moisturisers, neck creams, eye creams. Skin types and how to give a fantastic massage inluding marma and acupressure points for relief of lines and puffiness. We will also make fresh masks from natural ingredients as well as using ready made products. Organic products are used where ever possible in this course.

The course is run over two days 9.30 till 5pm

With final practical assessment.

What are the entry requirements?

 There are no entry requirements apartf rom a sound understanding of written and spoken English. You will also be required to have a short interview either in person or over the phone. However you will be required to cover the  mandatory requirement of  the VTCT Diploma in Health and Safety D1120 or to have under taken this in the last 3 years or the VR02/VR74. How is the course taught?

The course is taught through a series of lectures and practical sessions, utilising visual learning aids, an interactive smart board and an internet link. Students will practise treatments upon one another during practical sessions. There will also be one practical session on the second day where students will perform a treatment on a member of the public. All practical sessions are taught where ever possible using organic products sourced from local providers.

 

What  equipment is required for the course?

Students will be required to wear the college uniform of a plain black short sleeved t-shirt(no logos) or black tunic, black trousers ( not trailing on the floor) and flat black clean shoes ( no open toes). Please note: This must be brought for the course and not every day clothing. Students will need to have access to ocmputer for typing assignments and will need an internet connection with their own email address to enable the distribution of course notes and, importantly, for submission of assignments. Students will also need pens, ring folder, notepaper and coloured pencils unless they are working directly onto a laptop. Additionally students will be required to purchase a facial kits which can be from us or from else where which contains all products required for their facial case studies/practice.

 

How is the course assessed?

The course is assessed by:

  • one or two assignments ( if you have covered facial A&P then you are exempt from one assignment).
  • Practical home treatments to cover ranges of skin types
  • practical final assessment - £30

Is there any home study?

Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to do practical practice  to cover certain ranges and assignments.

 

What qualifications will i gain?

Upon successful completion of the course candidates will be awarded the  VTCT Certificate in  Holistic Facial and Massage and Health Academics Certificate in Holistic Facial skincare and Massage.

 

How much does the course cost?

The cost of the course including handouts is  on a introductory offer price of £175. Will normally be £200.

VTCT assessment book £20 and one off life time registration fee of £16 is not a member.

If you wish to take the VTCT certificate in Facial massage and skincare the  book will be £25
