VTCT LEVEL 3 HEALTH,SAFETY AND HYGIENE FOR COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES
Successful completion of this qualification enables the candidate to support health, safety and security in the workplace with regard to ensuring the safety of customers, themselves and colleagues. This is achieved by addressing the more obvious health and safety issues and also through the use of risk assessment to identify potential hazards. It also enables candidates to ensure that attention is given to employment standards regarding professionalism, equality of treatment for all clients, community involvment, hygienic practices, cost-effectiveness, protection from physical and mental abuse, and how the image of the workplace can be enhanced.
VTCT requires that these units be covered either before commencement of, or in parallel with, a VTCT course. This can be undertaken either as a home study course or a one day centre-based course. IF YOU HAVE THE OLD DII20 (VRO2 AND VR74) YOU WILL ACHIEVE APL(accreditted prior learning) BUT WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIT THE MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST PAPER IF EMBARKING ON ANY OF THE NEW VTCT COURSES.
How long is the course?
One day attendance, 9.30 till 4.30pm
How is the course assessed?
Home study
2 assignments
1 short 25 question multiple choice test paper taken at the centre - this can be taken during attendance for another course., this is a complusory requirement of VTCT.
How much does the course cost?
£110 Plus VTCT assessment book £26 and a one off payment of £16 for life registration to VTCT.
However if oyu are thinking of studying a full course with us which H&S is part of it will be better to purchase the full assessment book whcih contains this award and is a huge saving.
What qualification will i gain?
Upon successful completion of the course you will recieve the VTCT Level 3 Award in Health, Safety and Hygiene for Complementary Therapies
