This qualification forms a perfect base for those progressing towards non-medical, physical therapies. It provides a solid reinforcement to learning and builds confidence for anyone taking skills qualifications, returning to therapies or working towards further qualifications.
A critical aspect of this qualification is that the units may be accessed independently to fulfil specific needs. For this reason, they all have a common section dealing with the cell as a fundamental building block.
How long is the course?
Eight evening sessions on Tuedays from 6.30pm till 9.30pm at the Health Academics training centre. At the end of the course, students are required to attend the centre for written examinations.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
No previous knowledge is required. However a good command of verbal and written English is an advantage.We can provide on line test for the Literacy and language to test your levels. Results are instant . if you are then worried about your level we can discuss further options to increase your skills to enable you to complete the course.
How is the course taught?
The course is taught through a series of lectures
and tutorials, utilising a variety of visual aids and an interactive whiteboard.
There is also an optional field trip to the COLLEGE
OF BODY SCIENCE in London. All students on course will be
informed of dates throughout the year.

How is the course assessed?
Home study is compulsory. There are 8 assignment papers covering 2 subjects each. on each. When all assignments are completed there is a compulsory attendance to complete a 36 question multiple choice paper. This can be taken whilst attending another course or as a trip to the centre. Should not take more than an hour.
What equipment is required for the course?
Students will need pens, pencils, coloured pencils, a notepad, ring folder for course work and plastic wallets or files to hold course materials and their work. Health Academics portfolio is provided. Additionally, there are two anatomy and physiology text books to be purchased if you wish.
It is necessary to have access to either a pc or laptop as assignments must be typewritten. We also need the facility to email you assignments and work can be emailed to us for marking. It is also recommended that students have access to an email account as assignments will usually be distributed by email. Students may also submit coursework via email. However, in the event that a student cannot maintain contact by email it is possible to conduct study via post and telephone services.
Assignments and feedback forms must be either printed up and placed in folders or saved on a memory stick, CD or card and brought to centre when attendnign the multiple test paper.
What qualifications will I gain?
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the VTCT Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology and the Health Academics Anatomy & Physiology Diploma.
How much does the course cost?
The cost of the course is £250 plus £49 for VTCT assessment book and one off payment of £16 life time registration to VTCT. If this course is being studied in conjunction with another course it can be included in the instalment payments, please discuss with centre.
